Tragedy
I'm mostly derping around with my reading right now, choosing whatever feels good at the time. However, I do want to start a big re-read of the Wheel of Time series soon since the last book comes out in January. More later.
I'm on Scar Night, which is overwritten in a fun sort of Mervyn Peake-ish way. Everything is decrepit and ponderous and forlorn, and the characters are crazy unexpected given the opening. It has a great prologue, then the first proper chapter is like THIS TEENAGE BOY IS SPECIAL, and then all of a sudden you're following a drunk deadbeat dad, a poncy chamberlain, a badass assassin girl and a crazy vampire-angel. Also, the whole thing is set on a city suspended by chains above an abyss.
